Learning Objectives

The course aims to provide the fundamental theoretical and applicative concepts of work psychology and then deepen the organizational characteristics of social and health services. It aims to provide useful knowledge to actively participate in the promotion, organization and management of services; starting from the knowledge of the national legislation and the Marche Region relating to social and health services, the implementing regulations on some types of social and health services will be deepened. Subsequently, also through testimonies and guided tours, students will be involved to allow them to live the organizational and management experience. Topics of work psychology essential to understand the dynamics and problems within these services will be analyzed.

Program

Starting from the analysis of the historical regulatory evolution of social services in Italy and in the Marche Region, particular attention will be paid to the organization and management of the main social and health services aimed at the elderly, minors, disabled and mentally disturbed, considering, in every type of service, the themes of work psychology useful to master the management of social and health services. The course will address the following topics in the following order.

- analysis of national and regional legislation on social services - n. 2 hours

- social and health services for minors - n. 4 hours

- social and health services for the disabled - n. 4 hours

- social and health services for the elderly - n. 4 hours

- social and health services for the mentally disabled - n. 4 hours

- motivation to work - n. 2 hours

- Leadership - n. 2 hours

- The psychology of health and illness - n. 2 hours

-Non technical skills e soft skills - n. 4 ore

- stress, burnout, mobbing - n. 4 hours

- communication with fragile users - n. 2 hours

Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione (knowledge and understanding): aver acquisito i contenuti previsti dal programma, comprendere le linee fondamentali e gli aspetti specifici della psicologia del lavoro nei servizi socio sanitari. 

Applicazione delle conoscenze e della capacità di comprensione (applying knowledge and uderstanding): saper applicare i concetti, le idee, le teorie e le metodologie apprese anche in contesti diversi da quello originario; saper usare conoscenze e concetti per ipotizzare interventi e progetti su questioni specifiche; saper individuare relazioni anche a livello interdisciplinare. 

Autonomia di giudizio (making judgements): sviluppare un pensiero critico, autonomo e flessibile attraverso il ragionamento e la riflessione sui vari contenuti appresi; aprirsi alla complessità della realtà della psicologia del lavoro nei servizi socio sanitari.  attraverso un atteggiamento esplorativo e di ricerca; mettere in discussione le teorie proprie e altrui. 

Abilità comunicative (communication skills): dimostrare di aver acquisito una sicura padronanza del lessico di base della disciplina e di saperlo utilizzare in modo coerente e logicamente strutturato (uso analisi e sintesi, processi induttivi e deduttivi).

Capacità di apprendimento (learning skills): al termine del corso lo studente dovrà aver acquisito la capacità di esprimere chiaramente i contenuti del corso, di comunicarli attraverso un corretto linguaggio disciplinare, di argomentare su temi e problemi della psicologia del lavoro nei servizi socio sanitari

Meetings will be organized with privileged interlocutors (public administrators, family members of users, managers of social services), classroom exercises and, if possible, guided tours of social services. within the expected number of hours

Assessment

The assessment will focus on the knowledge, skills and abilities demonstrated by the student, taking into account in particular the following indicators:

1. relevance and effectiveness of the answers;

2. level of articulation of the answers: clarity, logic, systematicity, completeness;

3. use of the specific vocabulary of the discipline;

The final evaluation is expressed in thirtieths.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
