The course aims to:

develop students' philological competence

develop students' hermeneutical skills required for a critical interpretation of variants

Russian literature and authorial philology

Assessment of students' philological competence

Basic notions of textual philology

Basic notions of philological analysis of modern autographs

Authorial philology

Variants from a critical point of view

Russian literary texts in different author's variants (Puskin, Dostoevskij, Tolstoj, Cechov)

Knowledge and understanding

Knowledge of the main philological tools

Knowledge of the peculiarity of the authorial philological

Ability to prepare a simple philological edition

Making judgements

Ability to give a critical interpretation of a campaign of correction

Simplified critical edition of a Russian text and oral exam

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.

The course program lasts one academic year.

It is not true, as it is written above, that this is a 'Course with optional materials in a foreign language': the materials in foreign language will be compulsory for both attending and non-attending students. Unfortunately, the system does not allow for any other choice of materials (sic!).
