Learning Objectives
The course is aimed at acquiring the theoretical and methodological principles fundamental to the formulation of a nutritional plan for subjects in different physiological and pathological conditions (subject to medical assessment). The course aims at theoretical and practical mastery of metabolic assessment methodologies applied to energy/functional assessment. Knowledge of the guidelines, of the theoretical aspects underlying each methodology illustrated, of the relative limits, of the applicability, and of the correct interpretation of the data collected, constitute essential training elements of the course as they are fundamental to the practice of the profession of Nutritional Biologist. The course will include practical exercises, aimed at the evaluation, analysis and resolution of real cases, creating nutritional plans and analyzing the critical use of nutraceuticals/food supplements when indicated.
