Learning Objectives
The laboratory aims to teach the tools useful for carrying out a bibliographic search through the use of search engines and bibliographic databases. The laboratory also intends to explain the structure of a scientific article, the method of citing a reference within a text and at the end of a text, and teaches the use of bibliographic management software such as Endnote or Mendelay.
Program
The Program is divided into 5 parts:
- Structure of a scientific article
- Bibliographic research
- Bibliographic databases
- Structure and style of a quote within the text and at the end of the text
- Use of bibliographic management software

Supporting Activities
Lecture slides, made available on the Moodle platform, are an essential part of the study material.
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Frontal lectures and classroom exercises
- Attendance
Attendance is compulsory.
Only 1 absence is allowed among the 4 lessons, which must be justified by a medical certificate or for work reasons. The justification must be sent to the laboratory teacher within 24 hours of the absence.
- Course books
No texts are provided. However, slides are an essential part of the study material
- Assessment
Evaluation of the homework produced after each lecture and the final paper (including punctuality). Only a positive assessment will award credits for the workshop.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
