Learning Objectives
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the critical tools for understanding the main issues in the history of the twentieth century; in particular, the course will focus on the decades following the Second World War, between the economic miracle and the collapse of the Berlin Wall.
Program
The general part will be dedicated to the analysis of the central themes of the history of the second half of the twentieth century, starting from the end of the Second World War up to the reformulation of new political balances and new social arrangements following the fall of the Berlin wall and the consequent end of the "short century". This will be followed by an in-depth study on issues concerning youth cultures and countercultures in the sixties and seventies.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
