Learning Objectives
Study of the discipline of the religious phenomenon in the Italian legal order and analysis of the development of historical and political idea of secularism.
Program
The course aims to promote the study of Italian legal order for the part relating to the discipline of the religious phenomenon, trying to discern the legal criteria that are the basis
This path will be also presented the historical characters that led to the birth and formation of the secular State
The proposed study will professionalizing character, with a direct approach to the regulation of references principles and criteria, and legal issues open.
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
The student of the course acquires the complete knowledge and understanding of the areas of law which govern and regulate the religious phenomenon, with a thorough knowledge of the rules and institutions of national law in particular, and the European Union law in general
At the end of the course students will have acquired the ability to interpret and apply the provisions of Italian law and Community regarding the discipline of the religious phenomenon, to find, even via databases, and to understand the sources of law and those case law, national and european.

Supporting Activities
A few classes will be devoted to the analysis and discussion of legal national and local recent cases.

Two tools will be used during the course:
1. Problem-based learning. The learning strategy will be based on the principle of using a legal problem as a starting point for acquiring the state models of regulation of the religious phenomenon.
2. Debete. Students will be called upon to debate jurisprudential cases and will be divided into two teams, one for and one against the judge's decision, to bring out the positives and critical points of the system.

Oral examination.
The expected learning results will be evaluated by means of an oral exam, based on three questions or more. The evaluation criteria and the scale of marks are as follows:
less than 18/30: competence level insufficient. The student doesn’t reach the learning results described in “knowledge and understanding”.
18-20: competence level sufficient. In particular, the student attains the learning results described in “knowledge and understanding”.
21-23: competence level satisfactory. In particular, the student attains the learning results described in “knowledge and understanding” and in “applied knowledge and understanding”.
24-26: competence level good. In particular, the student attains the learning results described in “knowledge and understanding”, “applied knowledge and understanding” and “making judgments”.
27-29: competence level very good. In particular, the student attains the learning results described in “knowledge and understanding”, “applied knowledge and understanding”, “making judgments” and “communication skills”.
30-30 with honours: competence level excellent. The student fully attains the learning results described in “knowledge and understanding”, “applied knowledge and understanding”, “making judgments” and “learning skills”.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
