Learning Objectives
The student will have to:
- possess adequate knowledge and linguistic/communicative competence (at least level B1 of the CEFR), oral and written, especially in grammar and phonetics;
- apply their knowledge of the French language in oral and written production and comprehension;
- know how to apply theoretical tools for the identification of phonetic/phonological and morphological characteristics specific to the French language.
Written and oral comprehension
• At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the main points of a written and oral text, expressed in standard language on familiar topics (the city, everyday problems, the environment, work, studies...) .
Written and oral production
• The student will be able to produce simple texts related to the above-listed topics, such as decribing events or experiences, giving opinion or advice.
• The student will be able to speak clearly and in detail about her/his interests. She/he can develop a viewpoint on a familiar topic and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of a given situation.
Program
The topics are those specified in the textbooks (L'atelier B1), in addition to what is indicated on the Blended platform at the following link: https://blended.uniurb.it/moodle/course/view.php?id=21190
Partial exam tests will be structured as follows:
- PROVA SCRITTA (WRITTEN TEST)
The written test is divided into three parts, as indicated below:
1. Grammar/lexical test with several grammar/use of French exercises.
2. Understanding of a written text in French.
3. Writing a text in French (150 words).
- Through the topics proposed on the text book "L'atelier B1", linguistic and cultural skills will be developed by following a communicative approach. Press articles, advertising, photos, radio and television shows will be useful tools for written and oral comprehension exercises, considering a B1 level for grammar and vocabulary.
- Special attention will be offered to oral expression. Students will be regularly invited to express themselves - in the form of a story, advice or opinion - on the topics covered in class.
- Lastly, students will work on the methodology of the exams through written and oral exercises.
