Learning Objectives

The course will provide students with an education that, in addition to expanding their language skills to level B2 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), will foster the appropriation and management of economic notions as well as knowledge of the professional and business world with the aim in the future of operating effectively in international contexts.

Professional and corporate world that also includes the tourism industry, of which some dynamics will be studied, such as the link between tourism and territory, the organisational and legal framework, marketing and the design of the tourist offer from an international perspective.

Program

- During the two semesters, topics relating to business economics, marketing and tourism will be covered, through which students will have to interpret and understand the proposed documents. 
Radio and television documents and press articles will be used, enabling students to master the specialised vocabulary of the business and tourism sector.
- Throughout the different themes, work will be done on grammatical and lexical points related to level B2, as well as on the methodology of examination tests by means of written (lettre commerciale/ lettre formelle) and oral (exposé) exercises.

-Moreover, in order to strengthen the language, collective language immersion projects will be proposed to the students, such as the production of guides for French-speaking tourists on the cultural heritage of Urbino and the products of the Marche region

The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
