Program
This course is designed to help students improve their communication skills, with particular attention to listening, through the use of videos and discussions based on topics taken from the book (Business Partner B1 Pearson FT Publishing - orange book) and the business world. We will learn commercial expressions and vocabulary and review grammatical structures.
First year students (B1) have to purchase the book (Business Partner B1 Pearson FT Publishing) for the B1 English course (all sections). Other materials for these exams will be provided in the classroom and on Blended Learning.
The exam simulations that address the specific topics of the final exam will be held at the end of each semester and from these you can see exactly how the final exam is carried out.
There is also self-study material at the Centro Linguistico Ateneo on Via Budassi. An identity card and B1 listening materials can be obtained from the secretary for the listening lab.
As for the exams, we will cover all the topics of the book, which will also be used as a basis for the final listening exam and the oral exam.

Notes
The first opportunity that students have to take the language exams (oral, written, listening) is in May/June (every year). The other sessions (in August/September and in December/January) are ONLY FOR STUDENTS WHO STILL HAVEN'T PASSED THE EXAMS. You are not allowed to take the exams just because you think you are ready, you must wait until the next May. After you have finished all of you language exams (oral, writting, listening and monografico) must "verbalizzare" your final mark for English 1 with Prof.ssa Enrica Rossi.
