Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide the student, in the context of antimicrobial strategies, with an overview of leishmaniasis, basic knoledge on the parasite and treatments available. The need for new therapeutic approaches will also be highlighted and strategies for drug discovery will be presented.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
D1 - Knowledge and ability of comprehension. The student must demonstrate to have gained the knowledge inherent to the teaching program.
D2 - Ability to apply knowledge and comprehension. The student must be able to implement/use these knowledges for the critical evaluation of the methods used for drug discovery.
D3 - Autonomy of judgement. The student will be able to critically evaluate the therapeutic approaches for leishmaniasis.
D4 - Communication skills. The student must acquire adequate scientific language skills by taking a participatory attitude to the topics of the lectures.
D5 - Learning skill. The student will be autonomously able to deepen the topics covered.

Assessment will be carried out through multiple choice test.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
