Learning Objectives

The course “Clinical biochemistry in inflammatory disorders”, divided into two lessons of 2 hours/each, aims to provide the main information on the potential role of cytokines and proteases as promising biomarkers of Laboratory Medicine, but also as potential therapeutic targets for a plethora of human inflammatory  diseases.

Program

The course encompasses basic information on the biomolecular aspects of cytokines and proteases, and highlights their main current applications in the field of the Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

The course will allow to learn the functions of Cytokines and Proteases as main diagnostic-prognostic biomarkers, to improve the knowledges in the Laboratory Medicine field.
