Learning Objectives

SWIMMING FOR RESCUE: Acquisition of knowledge of the discipline and skills that allow you to perform freediving, approach the unsafe person, practice the most common transports and be aware of the notions of first aid

Program

Module 1 (inside the Mondolce Swimming Facility of the School of Motor Sciences): Cardio-respiratory resuscitation methods; methods of intervention in situations of bleeding, fractures, poisoning, burns, sunstroke, heat stroke, etc. Rapid dive from the surface, underwater swimming, compensation maneuvers, as well as knowledge of the general lines of the navigation code and tools commonly used in the rescue phases.

Module 2 (external): Practical internship at sports clubs (to be agreed with the teacher)

Bridging Courses

participation in the swimming internship 1 will give the opportunity to obtain the federal qualification and the wet assistant license for internal and external waters, after passing the final assessment (theoretical / practical verification)

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment

Teaching

Lessons will take place face to face. The calendar and the modalities of the same will be communicated by the teacher to all students

Attendance

Minimum mandatory attendance: 2/3 of total practice lessons. As to the practical activities attendance is intended as the active participation to the lesson

Course books

The teaching material prepared by the teacher in addition to the recommended texts (such as slides, handouts, exercises, bibliography) and the teacher's specific communications for teaching can be found on the Moodle platform ›blended.uniurb.it

Assessment

At the end of the internship, an evaluation of the practice will be carried out. It will also be necessary to deliver a report concerning the activities carried out

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
