Learning Objectives
The course aims to offer a broad knowledge of mediation and legal implications, from its theoretical assumptions within the ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) paradigm, focusing on the psychological and communication aspects. The course will also delve into family mediation, as a clinical intervention for the separating couple, addressing the issues relating to this phase of the life cycle, also with exercises on typical cases. Further in-depth analysis will focus on the de-escalation techniques in the social health-care field.
At the end of the course, students will be able to have a broader vision of the mediation tool and its application; the macro-theme relating to the conflict will be explored in depth, trying to discern both its evolutionary and critical aspects.
Students will have to know the main theories underlying the construct of mediation, the techniques used in the field of family mediation and in other contexts of application such as: school, territory, companies, criminal areas.
Program
The course aims to provide students with the opportunity to orient themselves, both on a theoretical and practical level, towards a knowledge of mediation and its application areas.
