Learning Objectives

The course is aimed at acquiring the basics of the theoretical, methodological and fundamental teaching principles of the major team sports from a basic point of view, albeit with a scientific analysis and also with the aid of dedicated advanced technologies in sport to state-of-the-art. The course also aims at mastering the methodological concepts and procedures that characterize the didactic structure of professional teaching of the discipline, especially in relation to the first age level of training (13-15 years, prepubertal age group).

Program

-Review of core work to establish the entry level of the students..

-Technical, didactic and methodological aspects for the construction, revision of the youth training didactic project and optimization for them.

- Use of appropriate working methods to the various ages:

-The complex periodization of the work structure.

- Fundamental screening plan (FSP)

- technical and didactic progression in relation to metabolic demand, physiological curve with particular reference to youth training

- close correlation between athletic preparation and technical preparation.

- Psychological issus to develop sport training.

-Professional work monitoring: the MAS, a first approach

-The importnce of sport taxonomies .

-Taxonomic analysis of athletes from under 13 to under 15 in basketball as a transversal example of job differentiation by age.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

The student must show the possession of in-depth knowledge relating to:

the current epistemological structure of the discipline with particular reference to its constitutive elements (methodologies and problems) and to the relationships with other related disciplines, such as physiology and psychology; adequate knowledge of advanced technologies dedicated to the discipline and knowledge of performance analysis and basic mathematical-statistical principles aimed at the adequate development of scientific field work projects.

- The student must show an understanding of the concepts and theories included in the course; you will have to provide examples of transposition into well-founded projects both in a methodological and didactic sense and in a formative sense;

- The student must be able, in particular, to identify programming methodologies and methodological-didactic readjustment appropriate to the work contexts; simulate the design of specific work plans; to envisage some intervention hypotheses in the face of variegated revision problems in a specific context (13-15 anni)..

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Supporting Activities

The teaching material prepared by the teacher in addition to the recommended texts (such as slides, handouts, exercises, bibliography) and specific teaching communications from the teacher can be found on the Moodle platform (blended.uniurb.it).

In addition to the traditional lessons, international calls will be offered from various countries held by important exponents of the discipline. Visits will be planned to the Serie A men's basketball club in Pesaro, for a direct view of the real possibilities of working with differents ages athets in addition to Serie A.

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment

Teaching

As far as practical-exercising activities are concerned, it is specified that attendance means active participation in the lesson in the field. Compulsory minimum attendance: 2/3 of the lessons.

Innovative teaching methods

The student is introduced to the evaluation of the proposed work using state-of-the-art technologies, such as ultra wide band GPS IMU and tools with sensor fusion and machine learning with references to the use of artificial intelligence in sports.

Furthermore, in the practical part, the student will be invited to take on the role of teacher, both with reference to sports training and school lessons, for a realistic immersion in their future work.

In random moments, the student is asked to self-evaluate during a "knowledge check", to independently realize any parts with gaps in his preparation which up to that point have been free from grading problems.

Attendance

To fully achieve the educational objectives of the course, attendance at lectures is highly recommended, although not mandatory. Male and female students are considered 'attending' when they reach at least 50% of the number of hours required for the course.

Course books

New, basic text:

"Taxonomy of Motor and Sports Training Systematic, methodological, didactic and technical-tactical indications for youth sport at different ages. The example of basketball", Riccardo E. Izzo, NonSoloFitness Editions, Bologna 2021. The chapter involved in student learning are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 13 in which the only part to be stdied is the one involving U-13,14 and 15.

In addition, didactic material of the lessons,

Assessment

Oral test for a complete verification of knowledge concerning the entire first part of the main book, and the second taxonomic part linked to the U-13/14/15 categories. For the final mark, the evaluations on the activities proposed during the practical lessons will also be taken into account.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.

Additional Information for Non-Attending Students
