Learning Objectives

Provide knowledge and understanding of the game of Rugby and its forms (contact, touch, tag). Subsequently transfer the methodological tools and means to organize and manage training sessions aimed at approaching the game for beginners aged 5 to 18.

Program

Each topic in varying quantities will be addressed both in its theoretical and practical aspects.  The main topics of the course are: The specificity of rugby in sports games: situation, fight, race; The fundamental rules and principles; The FIR methodology; The planning, management and verification of the training session; Non-contact forms of play; The performance model and the role of physical preparation

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Alternation between lectures (20%) and practical activities in the field (80%)

Attendance

As recalled by the Teaching Regulations of the Course of Studies, the technical-practical activities must be attended for at least two thirds of their duration. As regards practical-exercising activities, it is specified that attendance means active participation in the lesson
