Learning Objectives
Basic Translation Skills
- Translate texts from Italian to Chinese
Listening Comprehension

- Develop Chinese writing skills
Course Arrangement
There is no distinction in the program between attending and non-attending students.
Program
First Semester:
- Expressing location; Describing distance; Talking about changes.
- Learning to express intentions and desires; Knowing phrases to ask for directions;
- Expressing a wish; Describing habitual actions; Talking about ongoing actions.
- Expressing what one can do; Making a suggestion; Talking about upcoming events.
- Expressing personal feelings; Formulating questions to ask for information; Talking about events in chronological order.
- Being able to express oneself with simple sentences.
Second Semester:
- Comparing different or similar things at different times; Describing environments; Talking about the weather.
- Expressing how actions are carried out, about health, and eating habits.
- Expressing actions that occur simultaneously; Talking about completed events.
- Talking about a trip; Writing a diary entry.
- Learning to talk about past experiences, provide details about past events, and ask for prices.

The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Innovative Teaching:
The in-person teaching methodology will be enriched with individual and group exercises and in-depth studies, which students will carry out using the University's Moodle platform. Some topics of the course will be addressed following the principles of:
- Dual Coding Theory
- Constructivist teaching and Eureka learning, Inquiry Based Learning, questioning and the "SQ3R" method
- Cooperative learning (Learning Together, Jigsaw 2)
- Gamification
- Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
- Competency-based teaching (condensing and organizing disciplinary content by thematic units and based on their educational value, towards the construction of skills; authentic assessments, case studies, incidents; systematic observations and cognitive autobiographies)
