Learning Objectives
Drawing from knowledge in the field of clinical psychology, the laboratory aims to develop clinical skills related to diagnostic procedures, prognosis assessment, outcomes, and potential therapeutic interventions. This competence is embodied in the ability to apply clinical reasoning when assessing individual cases. This involves closely linking general theories with symptoms, experiences, and the patient's personal history and relationships.
Students must demonstrate their acquisition of these skills through exercises performed in the laboratory.
Program
The program includes an analysis of clinical cases from two perspectives: the application of diagnostic criteria according to contemporary nosography and clinical reasoning. Clinical reasoning gives meaning to the patient's clinical picture by relating their symptoms to an in-depth understanding of their lived experience, history, traumatic experiences, and relationship history.
Each day's work includes the first part of the theoretical-methodological framing of a clinical case and the second part of a group exercise.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
