Learning Objectives
Themes
Today’s world is characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. Technological developments, demographic trends, globalization, climate change, are contributing to rapid transformations of labor markets. Both individuals and organizations need to develop new competences that secure their resilience in the face of fast-changing economies and societies. Being able to adapt to change, working effectively in teams, using softwares for remote working, solving problems, communicating well, being creative and able to prioritize and managing projects are often listed among much needed skills for the future.
In 2018, the European Union issued a Recommendation on Key Competences for Lifelong Learning, focal not only to cope with fast changing labor markets, but also to be active contributors to more resilient societies. In particular, such Recommendation relates to digital and entrepreneurship competences. To support them, the European Commission has published two reference frameworks, the Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp), and the Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (EntreComp). The latter, in particular, defines "entrepreneurship" as the capability to act upon opportunities and ideas to transform them into value for others. EntreComp consists of 3 interrelated and interconnected competence areas: ‘Ideas and opportunities’, ‘Resources’ and ‘Into action’. Each of them is made up of 5 competences, which, together, constitute the building blocks of entrepreneurship.
Starting from this framework, this training programme focuses on 6 transversal competences (Creativity; Vision; Mobilizing Others; Planning and Management; Coping with Uncertainty, Ambiguity and Risk; Working with others). They are aimed to help participants in becoming promoters of change in their work, communities and life contexts, to face the challenges of our time with new methods and adequate tools, to create added value and improve the world in which we live.
In particular, this programme has the following aims:
- learn how to develop ideas and identify opportunities (including better solutions to existing and new challenges) to turn them into a project, a product, a service that meets specific needs
- work following one's own vision of the future and transform ideas into action
- learn and experiment innovative approaches to work and new tools for project design
- learn how to combine knowledge and resources to achieve higher quality effects
- learn to inspire and engage others and get the support needed to achieve valuable results
- develop communication, persuasion, negotiation, leadership skills
- learn to identify needs, priorities, medium and long-term objectives, design, plan, organize (and organize)
- learn to work in a team and cooperate with others to develop ideas and transform them into action
