Learning Objectives

The degree aims at developing good linguistic skills and at providing theoretical and practical tools for their application in different sectors. The teaching activities include a common training core aimed at acquiring a good written and oral competence in at least two foreign languages ​​and their cultures.

Depending on the curricula, the languages ​​which can be chosen are: Chinese, French, English, Russian, Spanish and German. The study of languages ​​is accompanied by courses aimed at providing in-depth knowledge of the corresponding cultures.

As regards the applicative sectors, it is possible to choose one of three paths:

  • literary, to undertake educational actions and manage cultural activities;
  • business, to implement effective corporate communication;
  • tourism, to coordinate the organization and management of tourist offers.

Applied Modern Languages (L-11 R)

Depending on the chosen specialization, the degree prepares its graduates for professional activities in the fields of cultural services, business, tourism, international organizations, as experts in:

  • language consultancy and education
  • marketing and intercultural communication for businesses and public institutions
  • management in the field of tourism
     

At the time of enrolment, students have to choose a curriculum and the two foreign languages ​​to be studied in depth during the three years of the degree.

The third year of each curriculum includes an internship at companies, public or private institutions, schools, libraries or publishing houses.
The Curricula:

  • LANGUAGES AND LITERATURE (LIL) provides in-depth knowledge in the linguistic field as well as in the literary, philological and historical fields and in language teaching;
  • LANGUAGES FOR BUSINESS (LIM) provides in-depth knowledge in the linguistic field as well as in the management of companies operating on the international market and in intercultural corporate communication;
  • LANGUAGES FOR TOURISM (LIT) provides in-depth knowledge in the linguistic field as well as in the planning and management of traditional and digital marketing strategies in the tourism sector, and in the promotion of tourist destinations from an international perspective.
     

The degree gives direct access to the MA Degree LM-37 in Languages for the Professions in a Global Context, provided that the languages ​​of choice are the same as those chosen for the Master's Degree Course.

  • Many courses are held totally or partially in a foreign language and include seminars and meetings with external teachers and national and international professionals.
  • All languages ​​are taught at levels of proficiency adequate to the students’ initial preparation.
  • The compulsory training internship promotes direct contact with the world of work, facilitates the acquisition of specific professional skills, and guides future career choices.

You can apply from the 06/05/2025 to the 31/03/2026 fino al raggiungimento della numerosità sostenibile . Using the online procedure you can register to fill in the application and pay with PagoPA (Credit Card, PayPal) to complete the payment of the admission fee.
