Learning Objectives
Themes
The aim is to organise digital documentation for the conservation of works of art from the Pinacoteca di Siena that are being moved due to the technical adaptation of the exhibition spaces.
The course will provide the basic tools needed to study and understand artworks on wooden supports, such as polychrome wood carvings and paintings on wood, and will teach participants how to recognise the materials and techniques used.
The course will also provide tools for the digital cataloguing and two-dimensional surveying of works. There will also be a more in-depth study of three-dimensional surveying using digital techniques.
Practical lessons will enable students to develop the manual skills necessary for the planned activities.
Career prospects
Objectives
The course will equip you with the skills needed for digital documentation, handling works and surveying assets in museums, public institutions and private foundations, whether during exhibitions or the setup of exhibition rooms.
