Learning Objectives

The course is intended to grow awareness about the psycological roles in sport performance. The objective is provide theoretical content besides intervention to assess some emotive experiencenthe can condition significantly performance: anxiety, stress, negative competitive spirit illmanaged aggressiveness.

Program

The course will include the following: Sport and Play. The Sport Career.

The role of sport in promoting health, the importance of movement and of the mind in the evolutive play ground. Overtraining and overreaching. Addictions - to food. Drug and doping.

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Supporting Activities

Integrated in the contests of the course a seminary will be held colaborating with the Istituto di Medicina e Scienza dello sport of the Coni to Roma on the aspectis of technique ad precisely the use of bio feed back for management and recovery of stress related performance and mental preparation to competitions.

Course books

The main test is "Perchè Icaro Voli. Psicologia dello Sport". An in-depth study of one of the other text proposed by bibliography and the study of the PDFs containing integrationand devolpment of the didactic program.

Assessment

Oral exam

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
