This course is entirely taught in Italian. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.

The course aims to introduce students to corpus linguistics and corpus-based translation

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

Knowledge and understanding: students will know and will be able to explain corpus linguistics principles.
Applying knowledge and understanding: students will be able to identify and apply corpus linguistics theory.
Making judgements: students will be able to analyze and evaluate the strategies and theoretical tenets implemented in corpus-based translation.
Communication: students will be able to talk about corpus linguistics theory and corpus-based translation.
Lifelong learning skills:  students will be able to learn collaboratively.

Assessment

Oral exam focusing on the corpus-based translation assigned as a final task.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
