Learning Objectives

Ability to link betwen the classical word and The Renaissance.

Reading architectural complexes, artistic literature. 

Program

Study fon interest in classical elements in Renaissance culture through the study of architectural remains and treaties, will be presented Vitruvio De architectura divided by 10 books, known in medieval times but particularly successful during the Four and sixteenth editions translatet and illustrated.

In the Marche region we will analyze the pats Francesco di Giorgio Martini and Girolamo Genga anda Raphael.

How il is treated as the personality of Antonio Liberi, originnaly from Faenza (1555 ca-1534), as well active in the hometown Marche, Umbria, Lazio, painter and architect composed a Code architectural through, among others, the study of Vitruvio called "el mio precettor", the design and of the theater of the Passion of Velletri, consideret ancient and quotes in the painted architecture of classical elements.

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.

The texts should be added the drafting of a paper with notes and bibliography at the end of about 10 pages on a  topic related to the course.

Oral examination and discussion of the essay.
