Learning Objectives

Concerning Philosophy of Education the student will be required to possess:

-  basic knowledge;

-  understanding of the main concepts of the discipline;

-  aptitude to use knowledge and concepts for reasoning in conformity to the logics of the discipline.

reading and commentary of Lessing's The education of the Human Race.

arguments and timing: Lessing, his times, life ans works (six hours). educating the human race: revelation and education (six hours); revelation by Moses, or on monotheism (eight hours); revelation by Jesus Christ, or on the immortality of soul (eight hours); revelation by human reason, or on history as infinite advancement of mankind and individuals (eight hours).
