Learning Objectives

The course has as its object the study of new communications models of health and well-being, the new digital environments where you play such communications and deepening the skills necessary for the professionals of these areas to better face the challenges of the post-modern society. The theoretical and practical training is aimed at providing specific expertise in the analysis and implementation of cultural products in the field of health and wellness communications: popular texts, scientific papers, movies, commercials, web -site, communit . Students will acquire the capacity to perform analyzes and create some products of communication, informative and influential user on the change of the attitude (field of prevention and promotion) and for popularizing the use of scientific discovery applications (field of rehabilitation) .

Program

The modules of the course program:

1.Multimedial communication: the change of communicative scenarios: from the traditional communication to the communication of new media. 2. Digital publishing and health: the new languages, media and devices (smartphone, tablet ebook reader ...) and the channels (blogs, webzines, community, social networks). 3. Health Web Marketing: eclipse analysis of the 4 Ps of traditional marketing (product, place, promotion and price) and their relative replaced with the 3 Cs of digital marketing (content, community, commerce). 4. Web 2.0 and health: methods and paradigms to better communicate on the web: the ways in which the communicative architecture becomes effective, participatory user's role, the function of social networks and the redefinition of the parameters by which reach its target. Deepening its websites on health: general considerations in the examples for websites, magazines and social platforms that deal with health and wellness.

The analysis by the students of various examples and case histories will move to the considerations on how to change the way of thinking, develop and publicize the content in the network, with the aim to communicate the best competences, health strategies and content and being.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

Students will be able to analyze with independent judgment projects, plans and promotion of wellness programs. That capacity must be exercised in the classroom in the confrontation with the teacher and your fellow student.

Students will be called upon to perform in the classroom communication skills by interacting with applications, trade with fellow students and writing short presentations in preparation for the final exercise.

Students must be in possession of critical skills useful in identifying tools and methodologies of health communication and the functional and adequate sports contexts, simulate action plans, designing a working hypothesis on the field.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Supporting Activities

Teaching is conducted through tutorials, seminars, regular discussions in the classroom. They will be used synthetic and illustrative presentations statements, such as teaching aids to the understanding of the issues examined. The exercises will take advantage of media such as computers, tablets.

There will be a final exercise in groups. The exercise consists in building communication plans related to notions regarding new media, new digital platforms, their role in communication on new channels, optimization and positioning of content and of their sentence, the case history health and well-being on the web communication and the use of the app, the latest-generation devices and processes of construction of meaning within the network.

Attendance

Students must attend 75% of the lessons and exercises of the course.

Assessment

Final exercise in groups. Exposure of the issues addressed during the educational activities in the form of seminar or classroom discussion. And exposure assessment exercises carried out during the course.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
