Learning Objectives
A student should be able to analyze texts from a theoretic point of view, without giving place to unfounded hypotheses. The lectures on meditation will better her/his mindfulness and insights.
Program
The Course deals with the formation of ideology and the commonest illusions of men and women. Nietzsche's book, The Gay Science, will be the starting point of the analysis. Furthermore, the topic will be focused and dealt with in depth, through two books, both written by the teacher: Illusions, which draw on both Eastern and Western philosophies and The Other Nietzsche, dealing with some traits not discussed in secondary literature. Both e-books are available inside the e-learning platform.

A student should be capable of analzying the above-mentioned texts and the topics they open. S/he should have a preliminary knowledge of the history of philosophy.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Supporting Activities
A few lectures will be dedicated to meditation (mindfulness). Students will be asked to give feedbacks about their experiences.
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Lectures. Group meditation.
- Attendance
Students have to attend almost the totality of the lectures; otherwise, they are considered "non frequentanti"(not-attending). The mentioned texts cannot be replaced.

F. Nietzsche, La gaia scienza, Milano, Adelphi (whatever language); L. Arena, L'altro Nietzsche; Idem, Illusions (Kindle Edition: Amazon www.it).
- Assessment
Oral examination. Disabled students will be examined through multiple-answers tests.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
Additional Information for Non-Attending Students

Students have to consult the teacher as to the difficult points of learning.
- Attendance
They should be in contact with the teacher and attend some lectures.
- Course books
They are the same as the ones for the attending students.
- Assessment
