English is the world's most hybrid language. It's history and make up crosses many languages and cultural broders and has become a "global" language. Due to this eclectic capacity, English has a fundamentak role in advertising and marketing.
The course will briefly examine its history and word formation, leading to an analysis of the language of advertising and marketing with its wordplay, attention seeking devices,figurative language and special forms.

By the end of the course students should have:
A knowledge and understanding of the make up of English as used
in advertising and marketing
Should be able to apply this knowledge to business situations.
Should be able to make judgements and communicate the language learnt
Should have the necessarylearning skilld to understand, listen,read and write typical business situations.
