Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide students with the conceptual categories for understanding the different rights of equal opportunities with regard to discrimination in the workplace and, more generally, in the social life. Starting from the principle of formal and substantive equality in the italian Constitution, the course will underline a systematic reconstruction of the different hypothesis of European anti-discrimination law, with a particular attention to the case law of the Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
1) Knowledge and understanding: Complete knowledge of European anti-discrimination law.
2) Applying knowledge and understanding: In-depth knowledge of the jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.
3) Making judgements: Interpretation of the sources of italian and european law.
4 Communication skills: The student should be able to speak in a debate in the classroom, supporting his arguments.

- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.

Thorough reading of the Italian Constitution and of the Charter of fundamental rights of the Union.
