Learning Objectives

-The course aims to train students on intercultural competences, especially the intense cultural contacts that linked Spain, Italy and Rio de la Plata countries during the XIX and XX centuries.

-Emphasis will be given on intercultural relationships between Spain, Italy and Argentina and Uruguay, with emphasis on migratory processes, intercultural contacts and exiles.

- Understanding of the processes of assimilation and inclusion that have promoted migrations and exiles, as well as the traces that the intercultural contacts between these countries have left in contemporary societies.

Bridging Courses

Excellent knowledge of Spanish.

Assessment

Students who can accredit a minimum of 70% of presences may choose to take the oral exam in Spanish or submit a paper -tesina, from 10-12 pp.- on a subject previously agreed with the teacher.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
