Learning Objectives
The object of the course il learning the main theories of applied psycology in the scope of the disabled, specially about and towards traumatic rehabilitation from a psychological and emotional point of view. the course aims at mastering the concept and elements of psycologically and clinical approach.
Program
The program is concentrated on the following themes:
the destiny of the body in the various stages of life,
introduction to the definition of disability and distinction from the concept of handicap and diverse ability,
the body's experience during adolescence in ability and disability,
normality and pathology of the disabled body sensations and the roles of automation,
the main declines of disability that we meet in the world of sport: dipendences and pathologies of self,
dismorphic phobia and reverse anorexia,
eating disorder,
narcisism and trauma,
help related facts and rehabilitation routes,
the vrelative style/mode of the clinical approach.
Bridging Courses
The course will include a full/complete teaching of the clinicl-theporical parts of traumatic rehabilitation. About the intensive seminary on tecniques of EMDR: Technical-Practical Approach to Psychic Rehabilitation from Physical and Psychic Traumas also of a Sporty Type.The intervention will be carried out by an experienced consultant at the Institute of Medicine and Sports Science - Coni di Roma.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Knowledge and understanding: The student must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of psychological concepts and aspects in the field of rehabilitation for all forms of disability.
Applying knowledge and understanding: Students must be able to apply knowledge gained in the workplace so that they can capture psychological dynamics and formulate psychological intervention in people with disabilities.
Making judgements: The student must be able to acquire a wealth of knowledge to enable him to formulate an intervention hypothesis in the context of a re-education program.
Communication Skills: Students must demonstrate that they are able to clearly communicate the acquired knowledge, formulating concept ideas and hypotheses in a clear and exhaustive manner, and knowing how to adapt the language according to the interviewee.
Learning skills: At the end of the course, the student will have to demonstrate that he has gained a good understanding of the various aspects and psychological dynamics in re-education.

-Frontal lessons and exercises.
- Course books
The main test is "Psycology of handicap and rehabilitation within Sport" edited by IF press. Preparation of exams will include a study of PDF containing the intensive parts of the program and a chosen text of those already indicated in bibliography with AIMING to organise an ORAL PRESENTATION about a chosen subject of personal interest. A book chosen from those indicated by the lecturer or a more analitical study of selected "theme" of one's interest via articles read atc.
- Assessment
Oral Assessment. The student must demonstrate that he has acquired the knowledge learned during the frontal lessons and through the textbook, in particular regarding:
- Mastery of declarative knowledge, understanding of concepts and situations;
- Ability to coordinate knowledge and skills to deal with complex or unedited situations.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
Additional Information for Non-Attending Students
- Attendance
Develop an article on a chapter of the textbook or other volume for further examination to take the oral exam.
- Course books
A text chosen from the ones indicated by the teacher or a more analytical study of the topic selected as being of interest to read articles, volumes, etc.
- Assessment
