Program
After an introduction on the role of involuntary memory in Remembrance of Things Past, the passages of Time regained in which Proust expounds his theories of literature will be read and analyzed. This will be followed by readings and analyses of passages from Remembrance in which Proust puts these theories into practice, paying particular attention to figures of rhetoric, above all to metaphor.
