This course is taught partially in Italian and partially in a foreign language. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.

Learning Objectives

The course will focus on the study of journalistic language. We analyse linguistic texts in various journalistic styles after which they will be translated into Italian, with a focus on the intrinsic linguistic and cultural difficulties.

The course will cover theoretically the specific linguistic characteristics of journalistic style to prepare students for the reading and translation of texts found in the different genres of journalism.

I. The functional styles of the Russian language.

4. Phonetic and paralinguistic peculiarities.

The scientific transliterations : ISO9/68 and ISO9/95

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

We will analyse representative texts of journalistic style, with a focus on the following: press releases, articles, interviews and news reports, in order to adequately address problems which arise in the translation of these texts.
