Learning Objectives

 Knowledge of fondamental lines of iconographyc and iconological method through some examples of pictures and essays of some masters.

Program

-The course analyze the definition and signification of iconography and  iconology

- analyse the personality of some masters of the method mostly Aby Warburg and Erwin Panofsky 

- analyse some examples of pictures with the iconographyc-iconological method, Michelangelo’s Tondo Doni  Last Supper of Federico Barocci, the Conversion of Saint Paul of Caravaggio, the Bar aux Folies Bergères of Eduard Manet, the Big Glass of Marcel Duchamp, the Reproduction interdite de Magritte

Oral examination

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
