Program
During the year students will mainly learn the essential grammatical structures and specific vocabulary related to the business context, which will be needed to help students communicate appropriately both in written and oral contexts, and enable them at the same time to understand written and oral texts.
They will learn to carry out independent research online concerning German companies (in the German language) and delve deeper into topics of current interest in all German speaking countries.
The following are part of the programme: the comprehension of authentic written texts, the writing of formal letters and e-mails, listening to authentic texts set in the world of work, and the ability to talk about the topics dealt with in class.
At the end of the second semester, students should be able to converse with ease and fluently about the topics dealt with in class and understand discussions about such themes. In addition, they should be able to give an opinion about current affairs and express both sides of an argument.
Short films and adverts will also be shown and discussed.
