Learning Objectives
The workshop aims at developing further knowledge of Scientific English, and specifically the language referring to psychology, that has been acquired during the Course of Scientific English of which the workshop is a natural continuation. The workshop will be held exclusively in English and take on the task of putting into practice acquired knowledge, concentrating above all on oral skills. Specifically, the aims are as follows:
1. Improve speaking and listening skills
2. Manage individual presentations in public
3. Undertake discussions on topics of psychology
4. Develop knowledge of specific terms in psychology
5. Perfect pronunciation and fluency of the spoken language
Program
Programme
1. Short individual personal presentations
2. Group work on psychology texts with group interaction
3. Short individual presentations of either student’s thesis at 1st or 2nd degree level or of personal work experience
4. Exercises on the cohesion and coherence, terminology and grammar of scientific texts.
