Learning Objectives

In historical-pedagogical research, the History of Education represents a new direction related to the social dimension of historical research. The course, starting from the lessons of Ariès and De Mause, is aimed at analyzing the history of childhood education looking at family, school, gender identity, play and work, forms of parental attachment and the emotional relationship between children and adults, denouncing the widespread phenomena of early sexualisation and exploitation of childhood. The course emphasizes the value of the "child age" and its central role in the development of humanity.
