Learning Objectives
Knowledge and skills to achieve
At the end of the training activity, the student:
- knows the main theoretical approaches to cognitive development and social skills;
- knows the theories of socio-costruttivist teaching-learning,
- knows how to observe and evaluate the main cognitive abilities and the class context;
- is able to carry out the analysis of a case study related to the school domain;
- is able to plan interventions with individuals and groups to promote the development of social skills in the age of development;
- is able to master the relationship between theoretical contributions and methodologies and tools.
Program
The course aims to provide elements for building a solid basis based on scientific research, on which to base the reflection on learning and designing teaching activities.
The training activity aims to provide theoretical knowledge and some methodological tools to understand the individual characteristics of the classroom students; knowledge will enable students to build a congruent and effective didactic approach; Second, the course wants to teach how to analyze and evaluate processes, products and contexts of education and learning. Finally, it is intended to facilitate the understanding of learning processes in order to promote a weighted and structured awareness-based teaching in the respect of the same.
The course is divided into three parts:
- development of cognitive processes
- development / learning processes in the field of education
In the monographic part of the course, the theme of the building will be further explored from motivation to childhood learning and self-esteem.

In relation to the discipline, the student had to show:
- Mastery of the knowledge of specialized disciplines;
- The understanding of the advanced concepts of the discipline;
- The ability to use knowledge and concepts to think independently on the issues of the discipline.

Lectures, group discussions and exercises. It will be possible to conduct individual or small group monotematics on some specific aspects of the program by writing written reports and oral presentation

- Assessment
Written and oral examination; the exam can be supplemented by a written report on topics dealt with during the lessons and agreed with the teacher
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
