Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to recognize the different artistic movements and main currents that have characterized the history of 20th century art. Particular attention will be given to the artistic movements of the late twentieth century.
Program
The course will be divided into thematic modules. We will analyze the major artistic movements that have led to innovations and metamorphoses in the language of visual arts and architecture.
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
The candidate will have to demonstrate in the examination interview that he has acquired the basic learning of the History of Contemporary Art, showing mastery and competence in contextualizing the materials provided in the right historical and cultural period.
An appropriate use of the specific vocabulary relating to the discipline is also required.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
The lessons will be mainly frontal and dialogic. During the lesson didactic methodologies such as "Problem solving" and "Scaffolding" will be used to strengthen and consolidate skills and knowledge. The final goal of the didactic path is to generate in the students the ability to autonomously organize constructive learning. The didactic material will be provided to the students at the end of the course.

- Assessment
Oral interview.
During distance learning, the assessment will be a multiple question test.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
