Learning Objectives

The course aims at the analysis of the socialization process throught the screening of some particulary relevan movies. The acquisition ofthis knowledge will allow the student to reach an improved understanding of social conditioning of thought and greater competence of the movie language, too A further aim of the course is to analyze film genres.

Program

The course is organized in two parts. The first part aim is to analyse  the socialization process by screening some movies. More specifically, movies like Ferro 3, invasione degli ultracorpi and Family life provide a significat sociological interpretetion to highlight the current crisis of eductional models The second part of the course is focused mainly on the emergence of behaviours underlying the birth of new sociological paradigms. Indeed, the analysis of movies will make the student able to observe the social reality from another poin of view.  will lead the student toward a more critical knowledge of sociology and especially oof the tools that society developed to effect the human action.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

The students must achieve: 1 Knowledge and capacity of understanding by devoloping processing of critical elaboration in relation to change in forms and languages of communication. 1.1 Students are awarded this knowledge base, attending the course and case study of scientific texts proposed by the teacher and discussed in the classroom.2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding through the ability of define research topics, analysis of the sources, insights from both theorical and empirical. 2.1 Classrooms discussions, confrontatio with the professr, study of texts.3 Capacity of judgement, critical reflectio on the dynamics of the relatioshipbetween the individual and society; and parallel capacity of compararison between scientific approaches through, for example, the comparative reading of essays, articls, ect. 3.1Ability that is shown through interaction in the classrooms with the professor and colleagues as well as being discussed examination. 4 Communication skills.4.1.Students should have skills in oral and written communication in Italian, should possess expression skills in Italian language and should master the basic concepts of the discipline.Students reach these skills asking questions and participating to discussion with the teacher and other students during classes, organizing a oral presentation of their group work or writing brief written text during practical classes.5.1Students should possess learning skills for further study.Students gain these skills trough discussion with the teacher and other in class during lectures and practical classes, through argumentations of their answers to teacher questions, and studying textbooks.

Assessment

The exam will be held through an individual interview based on textbooks suggested. The aim is to evaluate both student's comprehension of the content and his ability in reworking concepts and in argumenting. It is possibile to present a written document on a topic agreed with the teacher. 

Excellent grades will be given in presence of: a good critical perspective and in depth study; knowing how to link among them the main subjects addressed during the course; the use of an appropriate language.

Good grades will be given in presence of:  good mnemonic knowledge of the contents; a relatively good critical perspective and connection skills related to the treated topics; the use of appropriate language.

Sufficient grades will be given in presence of: the achievement of a minimal knowledge on the treated themes, even in presence of some gaps; the use of a not appropriate language.

Negative grades will be given in presence of: a difficult orientation related to the the treated topics; knowledge gaps; the use of a not appropriate language.

Disabilità e DSA
