Learning Objectives
To introduce students to the techniques of spatial analysis for hydrological- hydraulic components, using methods and models for the development of spatial data and for the analysis of risks, together with techniques for processing and return the results marked by high levels of communication and participation .
To provide students with useful technical tools to collect the data needed to construct scenarios of risk analysis, so as to form subjects able to participate and / or coordinate technical meetings of inter-territorial planning and design, as well as to analyze and predict trends territorial evolution of guiding them in a perspective of sustainability.
Program
Introduction to tools for the creation and management of environmental data.
Methods of analysis and modeling of environmental components (data topographical, geological, geomorphological, hydrological, hydrogeological, climatic, land use, etc ....) is aimed at analyzing geological and environmental planning.
Construction of simple models and analysis of case studies designed to gain mastery with modeling tools, using data from published and / or direct relief found in the countryside. Reconstruction of the inflow-outflow phenomena, scenarios of full river.
Seeking solutions-planning and / or project risk scenarios, techniques, graphic rendering of the results, aimed at the maximum communicability, for the definition of strategies for the protection or risk mitigation shared and sustainable.
In particular, will be provided: • the basis for the use of tools for spatial analysis, with particular reference to the open-source resources (JGRASS_HORTONMACHINE, HECRAS, HECHMS, ...), • outline of the drawing tools for computerized planning / design of interventions; • methods of analysis of the environmental components, adoption of planning actions or project (eg. Analysis tools for finding the best path into linear infrastructure, design checklist for maintenance of a embankment, to realize database for the management of environmental data and infrastructure (bridges, retaining walls, etc ...) • tools for numerical modeling at the basin scale and spatial scale of selective intervention. • signs of communication techniques and participatory processes through the use of computer graphics programs.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
