Learning Objectives
Contextualization of the historical period relating to the Catholic Reform in the relationship with the figurative arts.
Program
Analysis of the historical period characterized by the Protestant Reformation, the response of the Roman church that solicits the didactic character of the sacred work. Study of the written and figurative texts under discussion during the sixteenth century. Analysis of the answers given by Marche artists. The cases of Federico Barocci, Federico Zuccari and Andrea lilli.
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Ability to relate the written texts on how sacred works were to be carried out in the period of the Catholic Reform with those analyzed during the course.

Visit to the National Gallery of the Marche and to places in Urbino where the works under study are kept.

Oral examination that makes clear the comprehension of the purpose of the course
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
