Learning Objectives
After a general introduction to the novel between the 19th and 20th centuries, the course will explore the forms of writing about memory in the 20th century French novel through the work of Proust, Perec and Modiano.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Knowledge of the socio-literary context of the 19th and 20th centuries, its literary movements and most representative works.
Knowledge of three texts representative of memory writing and their ideological and historical-literary context.
Acquisition of the notions and skills for the analysis of a literary text and its contextualisation
Acquisition of the ability to use the language of literary criticism and the history of ideas to comment on literary texts
Ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to other texts and periods of French literature, gradually achieving the necessary preparation to continue studies in the Master's degree.

- Assessment
Oral examination aimed at verifying the knowledge of the topics covered during the course, the ability to contextualise the cultural and literary phenomena of the 19th and 20th centuries, the ability to critically synthesise the reference bibliography, the use of specific language.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
