Learning Objectives
The course offers the fundamental elements to understand the origin and development of psychoanalytic science. It gives a specific attention to the reading and comments of some of Freud's Writings in order to show the lively source of his ideas.
Program
The issues will be presented in the following order:
1. Analysis of main Freudian ideas linked with:
- the period of Freud's Life when they come into view (8 hours)
- the dialectic with Freudian followers (8 hours)
- Group exercises about post-Freudian Authors (6 hours)
2. Analysis of main psychoanalytic concepts by which we can describe the constitution of individual thinking and its psychopatology (8 hours)
3. Specific attention will be dedicated to children mind and its psychopatology (10 hours)
4. Competent Child will be the English seminar (8 hours) dedicated to evaluate with current evidences the Freud's discoveries about the Childhood and its fundamental forms constituting the mental life. Will be presented some international psychoanalytic papers on the same issue.

Students must show:
- mastery of basic knowlwdge about the discipline
- understanding of the fundamental concepts of the discipline
- the ability to use knouledge and concepts according to the logic of the discipline

The Erasmus students could have a specific program with English papers on Dynamic Psychology.
Part of the course will be taught in English. The student can request to sit the final exam in English with an alternative bibliography.

Oral exam

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
