Learning Objectives
The achievement of a full C1 or higher in the written and spoken language, with expansion of the lexicon and the acquisition of notions of grammar and syntax and of the concept of high and low context languages; acquisition of the basics of translation and the ability to translate complex texts correctly; acquisition of notions of intercultural communication through the use of authentic texts.
Program
- Students will be guided in reading and listening, and then analyzing and discussing and translating, a range of authentic materials on intercultural and current issues, writing, translating and listening exercises.
- Erin Meyer's book "The Culture Map" will be read and discussed and then a second book in the second semester.
- The themes of intercultural communication, Diversity Management, internet marketing and negotiation will also be addressed in the texts used in the translation exercises.
- Students have to follow the BLENDED page of the course and carry out the activities planned every week.
- Students must pass an speaking exam and a written exam (translation and writing).
