Learning Objectives
The course aims to guide students in deepening Chinese literary works from Yuan dynasty to modern / contemporary China; particular attention will be dedicated to connection between historical, cultural and philosophical views. Through the study of works choices analyzed during the course, the student will be able to read the texts in Chinese and translate them and will acquire and develop critical analysis and interpretative skills of the texts of reference.

Two novels to be read in translation by studied authors either from the imperial era or the twentieth century
- Assessment
The exam consists of an oral interview on the topics covered during the course.
It consists of two parts: the first consists of 4-5 questions aimed at verifying the acquisition of theoretical knowledge (history of Chinese literature and its historical-cultural context) imparted during the course; the second consists in the reading, translation and comment of some of the texts presented during the course. Furthermore, active participation in the lessons will be taken into account.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
