Learning Objectives
The practice lessons aim to provide students with the knowledge of the main instruments and devices, designed for both lab and field settings, usually used for exercise physiology and biomechanics assessments of healthy and pathologic subjects or recreational and elite athletes.
Program
Starting from the standpoint of the assessment aims, the instruments and the devices will be grouped, described, and compared in order to highlight their main characteristics (precision, ease of use, etc.), taking into account the practical usefulness of the measure obtained.

Theoretical learning outcomes
- not expected due to the practical nature of the lessons.
Practical learning outcomes. The student will possess:
- the ability to apply the theoretical concepts previously retained in choosing the instrumentation needed to perform the most common human performance assessments;
- the ability to contextualize and tailor what is mentioned in the previous point, even in non-standard settings.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Some of the instruments that are physically within the laboratory in which the practice lessons will be held will be used in simulated assessments with the aim to provide the student with the possibility to either be tested or be the tester.
- Attendance
Minimum mandatory attendance: 2/3 of total practice lessons. As for the practical activities, attendance is intended as the active participation in the lesson.
- Assessment
Final report.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
