Learning Objectives
The laboratory intends to provide an introduction to the research methodology in psychology, illustrating the concepts and tools useful for research projects. The laboratory involves the design of research and the development of a scientific report. In particular, we will address issues relating to i) evaluation of scientific articles and setting up of a scientific reports with hints of bibliographic research; ii) understanding of psychological / neuropsychological tests and procedures used to administer known or new experiments; iii) psychometric review with data analysis through software; iv) drafting of the research report.

applied knowledge and understanding (applying knowledge and understanding): the student should have understood all the phases of designing empirical research in the psychological field, with particular attention to the formulation of hypotheses based on the literature, data collection and analysis
autonomy of judgment (making judgements). The student will have to show a critical sense in reviewing the literature useful for drafting the introduction and discussing the results of the research conducted.
Communication skills (communication skills). The student will have to acquire the communication skills useful for clearly reporting hypotheses, materials and methods, results and discussion of the research carried out.

We recommend reviewing the theoretical concepts addressed in the Research Methodology with Elements of Statistics (first year) and Psychometrics (second year) course.
