Learning Objectives

The course aims at the knowledge of the theories relating to the general laws that regulate the development of human movement, its ontogenesis, the theories on motor learning and its manifestations. The program is divided into two areas. The first explores issues related to terminological problems, human behavior, stages of personality development in relation to the development of human motility, ontogenesis of the basic units of human movement and functional prerequisites. We will also try to provide a contribution to the knowledge of the factors that predispose to motor performance, of the theories on motor learning and of the methodologies aimed at achieving it. The second sector, applying with didactic experiences in the gym, focuses on motor and expressive skills, on motor skills, on their evolution and development,

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

At the end of the course the student must have:

- Knowledge and understanding:
to be able to understand the specific terminology of physical education, to understand the fundamental differences in motor development phases from early childhood to adulthood, to understand the specificity and classification of motor skills and capabilities.

- applyng knowledge and understanding:
It will also have to know how to apply this knowledge in a practical field by designing motor learning pathways taking into account the age of the subject to which it refers, the characteristics of what needs to be learned and the specific situations in which a certain movement is to be produced.

-Making judgments

The student should be able to apply autonomously and original work methodologies in different contexts from the point of view of sports specialties and the availability of tools.

- Communication skills:
The student must have the ability to communicate in a correct and specific way the knowledge of the subject even in written form.
