Learning Objectives

Goals

a) Athletics and Gymnastics as the basis for the sports development of young athletes;

b) Rules and principles of teaching in the preparatory stages for building sporting qualities;

c) The training methods of naive subjects in these sports.

Program

Regulation.

The stadium for athletics: tracks and field.

General rules for athletics competitions: sprint races, middle distance races, hurdles races, Jump races, throw and walking races, marathon.

The Prerequisites of Ethics:

Drills of run, drills of physical conditioning, jumping exercises.

Speed: The technique and teaching of fast running 

Starting from the blocks (technique, teaching and practical tests in the field). 

Relay 4 x 100, relay 4 x 400:  exchange and passing the witness, exchange areas.

Hurdles: The regulation, distances and male and female measures. Technical analysis of the overcoming. The rhythmics of the race. Technical and drill for beginners.

Jumps: technique and teaching drills of long jump, high jump, triple jump, pole vault.

Throw: technique and didactics drills of shot put, discus throw, hammer throw.

The Middle distance running, the bottom and the hedges: The various distances; the technique and teaching of running. The training principles  and planning

Walk race: regulation and technique drills.

The Multi events: the men's and women's specialties DECATHLON and HEPTATHLON

The means of training in athletics specialties.

Hints of methodology and training planning: the workload, the training session, the micro cycle, the mesocycle, the macrocycle, the unloading, the double programming The physical conditioning tests, control tests.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

1 Knowledge and understanding skills At the end of the course, the student knows the technical features of exercises and training to improve strength and strength and the technical characteristics of light athletics and gymnastics.

2 Applied knowledge and understanding skills At the end of the course, the student knows and uses the main training methods for different motor skills and for improving the performance of the disciplines in the program.

3 Autonomy of judgment At the end of the course the student is able to choose and use the main training methods to improve the ability to move according to individual performance, both by type of sport and age and gender.

4 Communicative Skills At the end of the course the student will have to speak with an appropriate technical language

5 Learning Skills At the end of the course the student will be able to summarize a brief technical text

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment

Attendance

Minimum mandatory attendance: 2/3 of total practice lessons. As for the practical activities, attendance is intended as the active participation in the lesson.
