    Anticipated learning achievements:

    • knowledge and understanding: understanding the history of Arabic language in its Semitic context
    • ability to apply knowledge and understanding: ability to apply the primary methods of historical linguistics to the history of Arabic
    • critical abilities: mastery of sufficient critical understanding to autonomously orient among linguistic theories of the Semitic family
    • communication abilities: ability to discuss freely, critically and without prejudices different cultural realities.
